Envy Biography:

Envy was born in December of 2001 at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. At its core were five individuals who drew upon different musical backgrounds, but held the same passion for creating powerful and memorable songs. Today, although the scope of the band has changed and broadened with experience, the passion behind each song remains as focused as the day it began.

Now calling the city of Milwaukee its home, Envy is far from your typical rock band. Envy's music fuses straight-up rock with elements of blues, pop, R&B and experimental textures. What results is a clearly distinctive, irresistible sound that has won over listeners all over Wisconsin and beyond. In addition to their unique and captivating sound, Envy offers up one the best live performances around. Constantly drawing upon the crowd and each other to ignite the song's energy, the band incorporates the audience to create a memorable show that keeps people longing for more.

Envy has released two albums that showcase the bands diversity and creativity: Identity Crisis, May 2003, and Message for the Blind, January 2005. The first disc was a collection of songs that purposely jumped genres as the band found its own identity. Determined to hone its sound, its latest release is much more focused as the band has found its distinct style. Through their musical endeavors, Envy has earned the opportunities to share the stage with artists such as Three Days Grace, Alter Bridge, Kevin Martin of Candlebox, The Goodyear Pimps and other national acts.
